The newly appointed board members include:
Anna Werntoft (chairman of the board) – CEO and board professional with deep experience in digital transformation
Sam Aston – CEO, entrepreneur and board professional with decades of experience scaling Nordic tech ventures
For administrative reasons, the announcement of the three new international board members will be made within the next 1–2 weeks.
Each board member brings a distinct background in areas such as AI, enterprise software, global business development, and organizational scale-up, core domains for ELVA11's mission to become a globally trusted software partner.
About Anna Werntoft
Anna Werntoft is a Swedish business leader with a background in economics and leadership. After graduation, she pursued a successful career in business, including serving as CEO of the consulting firm Stratiteq in Malmö. Under her leadership, Stratiteq was nominated for "Company of the Year in Malmö" at the Malmö Business Gala. In 2016, she was also named "Economist of the Year in Skåne" by the association Ekonomiforum Skåne. After her time at Stratiteq, Anna Werntoft continued her career in various leadership roles, including as Transformation Director at Ikano Bank. She has also been involved in board positions for organizations such as Innovation Skåne, Media Evolution, and Minc in Malmö.
About Sam Aston
Sam Aston is a experienced entrepreneur and business leader based in Malmö, Sweden. With over 25 years of entrepreneurial experience, including 20+ years as a CEO, Sam's career highlights include: co-founder and CEO of Apptus, Founder and CEO of Epsilon IT, CEO at EVRY, Partner at Amrop, Partner and CEO at Additude. Sam also serves on boards at Malmö University Holding, Innovation Skåne AB, and Medtech startup Starfish of Sweden. In 2024, Aston was recognized as a finalist for Malmö's "Growth Entrepreneur of the Year" award, honoring his contributions to innovation and progress in the region.
